Ye (my) Olde Writings

I haven’t migrated all of my old content here, to prevent this new blog from becoming a mess. But, there are a few blogs I previously worked on in case you’re interested…

The first is my Student Blog from my days at Flatiron: Thor’s Hammer. Blogs there are mostly school related from 2019 through 2020, and with an emphasis on problem solving. But the problems were specific and may not scale to the general reader unless you’re trying to get a sense of how I think. Personally, it’s interesting to look back and see how obsessed/interested I was about Eliyahu Goldratt’s Theory of Constraints when I began studying Software Engineering.

The second “Olde Blog” is from when I was writing an art column for a real life buddy of mine: Painted: Old Art, New Skin on Highlark. I wrote pseudonymously under the moniker Ludwig (as I’m fan of Ludwig von Beethoven… although in truth, I was going through a strong ‘Libertarian Phase’ and was thinking of Ludwig von Mises… and ‘yes’ I actually read Human Action). This blog was weekly throughout 2015.

The third “Olde Blog” is actually somewhat more current (in time) than Painted was. It’s a Blog all about Dogs from my job as a dog walker at Emster’s Paws. The writing here may be of interest, only if you’re curious about another perspective of me as human being. Most of these were also written in 2015 when I got started in the dog biz.

OH YEAH, and I also used to have a manager for screenwriting. Nothing was produced nor sold. But having earned a real Hollywood manager was sort of a crucial step for allowing my dream of being a famous screenwriter/novelist to evaporate, and be replaced with the much more tangible goal of becoming a codesmith.
